BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University dropped a 7-2 decision to the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers on Monday afternoon at the Harold Alfond Diamond in a North Atlantic Conference tournament winner's bracket game.
The Eagles (21-17) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead as junior Akira Warren singled to score graduate student Kobe Rogerson followed by a pass ball to score graduate student Ethan Stoddard.
The Fighting Tigers (22-13) were held off the scoreboard until the sixth inning when they scored three runs, and added insurance runs in the following innings en route to the victory.
The Eagles have a quick turnaround as they will rematch with Thomas College at 3:30 p.m. for the final spot in the NAC championship series that will take place tomorrow.
