WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its 2023 baseball all-conference teams on Thursday and Husson University freshman Hunter Curtis was named rookie of the year while sophomore's Matt Wallingford and Connor Abood earned all-conference accolades. 
 
Curtis put together one of the most dominating seasons by a freshman in program history earning rookie of the year and all-conference while batting .578 in conference with 26 hits, 18 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples and two home runs while driving in 17 runs. Curtis finished the season batting .353 for the Eagles with 41 hits, 30 runs scored, a team-high 11 doubles, two triples and four home runs while tallying a team-high 26 RBI's
 
Wallingford was one of two Husson pitchers to be selected to the all-conference squad after posting a 2-0 record in the NAC with a 0.56 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 16 innings. Wallingford finished 3-0 on the mound for the Eagles with a 2.50 ERA and a team-high 44 strikeouts in 39.2 innings. 
 
Abood earned the final all-conference nod for the Eagles finishing 2-1 with a 1.33 ERA in conference to go along with 20 punchouts in 20.1 innings. On the year, Abood tallied a 2-4 record with a 3.32 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 43.1 innings. 

Additionally, sophomore Ty Knowlton was selected to the sportsmanship team.
