BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University baseball team celebrated senior day on Sunday afternoon before completing their second consecutive doubleheader sweep over the University of Presque Isle Owls in as many days. The Eagles won game one, 6-1, before coasting in game two, 10-0 in a pair of seven inning contests. The Eagles improve to 14-15 and 9-1 in the North Atlantic Conference while the Owls fall to 2-27 and 1-9 in the conference.
Game One: Husson 6, UMPI 1
An RBI-single in the first inning allowed the host to lead until the Eagles responded in the next inning. Junior

Brett Riffe and tied the game at one. The game would become a pitching duel as senior
Brandon Brunell pitched five-plus quality innings in which he retired 17-out-of-20 batters faced. Burnell would leave the game with a 2-1 lead after junior

Austin Snow in the inning before. In the sixth inning, junior
Ryan Robb came into close the game out and the Eagles offense gave him plenty of runs in the bottom half of the inning. A bases-loaded walk scored Warren then sophomore
Tanner Evans cleared the bases with a double to center field. The five run lead was more than enough for Robb to get his first save of the season.
Game Two: Husson 10, UMPI 0
Senior
Austin Tomalonis made his first collegiate start as he pitched two perfect innings to begin the game for the Eagles. The offense then took over by scoring ten runs between the second and fifth inning. In the second, Snow singled in which two runs were scored. The third inning saw freshman
Hunter Curtis triple to bring in a run before being brought home by sophomore
Ty Knowlton. Junior
Jackson Curtis doubled in the fourth inning to score two runs before the Eagles added three more in the fifth. Knowlton drove in his second run of the game followed by freshman
Ty Giberson concluding the scoring with a two-run RBI single for his first collegiate hit.

The baseball team gets a day off before traveling to Waterville to take on Thomas College for a NAC doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
