BANGOR, Maine – Only nine combined goals were scored as the Husson men's lacrosse team dropped a North Atlantic Conference matchup to the Broncos of SUNY Delhi on Sunday afternoon at Boucher Field by the final score of, 7-2.
The first half saw four goals scored as the Eagles (5-5, 1-2 NAC) lone goal of the half came from senior Griffin Madore from graduate student Gunner McAllister.
The Broncos (4-6, 3-1 NAC) would take a 3-1 lead into second half and piled the lead to 7-1 before the Eagles would score the final goal of the contest. McAllister scored his 25th goal of the season from a feed by senior Ben Huynh as SUNY Delhi won, 7-2.
Senior Jacob Larochelle went 6-of-12 from face-offs while freshman Bryce DeRonda and Huynh each recorded two caused turnovers. McAllister picked up eight ground balls to go with his two point game. Freshman Odin Burk made 12 saves in goal for Husson.
The three-game homestand concludes on Saturday when the men's lacrosse team will take on Thomas College in a lacrosse doubleheader at Boucher Field with the opening face-off set for 1:00 p.m.
