STANDISH, Maine – The Husson University baseball team a single nine-inning contest to the Monks of Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Wednesday afternoon by the final score of 13-0.
The Monks (14-17) took the lead in the second inning and continued to lead so until the sixth inning when they add two more.
The Eagles (10-15) best chance at the plate came in the top of the fifth inning, but were unable to score despite the bases loaded.
In the seventh, the Monks broke the game open en route to the victory.

It's back to conference action this weekend as the baseball team will host UMaine-Presque Isle for a four-game set. Saturday's doubleheader will start at 1:00 p.m. with Sunday starting at noon.
