BANGOR, Maine - Husson University falls to State University of New York Cobleskill, 14-13 in a North Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse matchup on Friday evening at Boucher Field.
The Eagles were led by senior
Matt Boynton who record three goals with an assist, five ground balls and three caused turnovers in the setback. Freshman
Bryce DeRonda netted three goals with a ground ball and a caused turnover. Sophomore
Sean Lyne added two goals, a helper, five ground balls and a caused turnover. Senior
Gunner McAllister chipped in with two goals and picked up four ground balls. Sophomore
Nathan Vibber added two goals with seven ground balls. Senior
Ben Huynh had a goal, four ground balls and four caused turnovers. Senior
Jacob Larochelle picked up a game-high 16 ground balls and was 22-for-28 on face-off attempts. Junior
Danny Carter tallied a helper with two ground balls and a caused turnover. Freshman
Cohen Trnka made ten saves between the pipes for the Eagles.
Junior Sean D'Amaro tallied four goals and three ground balls to lead the Fighting Tigers. Senior William Bockhaus produced a goal and two assists with five ground balls. Junior Sean McMahan netted a pair of goals before playing the final 17 minutes in the net for SUNY Cobleskill, making one save to earn the victory. Sophomore Albert Shippio added a goal with two ground balls and a caused turnover. Senior Jake Giess chipped in with two goals, an assist and scooped up two ground balls. Sophomore John Williams had 22 saves in his 43 minutes in goal for SUNY Cobleskill.
Husson returns to action on Sunday when they host SUNY Delhi for a noon North Atlantic Conference matchup.
