BREVARD, N.C. - Husson University defeated Brevard College, 13-12, in a non-conference men's lacrosse contest at Ives-Lemel Family Field on Friday afternoon.

Gunner McAllister followed the Kjayat tally with his first of the game to push the Eagle advantage back to three 47 second later.
The Tornados responded once again to cut the Eagle deficit back two goals after sophomore Frankie Howard found the back of the net at the 4:20 mark. Husson rattled off two unanswered goals from senior

Bervard open the second quarter with four straight goals to make the game 6-6 after Khayat scored the tying goal with 5:34 left in the first half. Husson scored the final four out of the five goals in the remaining minutes of first half to take a 10-7 lead into the intermission.
Sophomore Finegan McCormack open the second half by hitting pay dirt with an assist from Khayat before McAllister fired his second of the game as the Eagles led 11-8 with 10:39 remaining in the third. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the three-goal lead quickly evaporated, as the Tornados closed out the third quarter with three unanswered goals to take 11-11 tie game into the final quarter.

Sean Lyne gave the Eagles the lead at the 9:40 mark of the fourth and Vibber provided the insurance six minutes later as freshman Cohen Tranka made two big saves in the final seconds of the game to preserved the 13-12 victory.
Trnka record a career-high 14 saves in the victory, while Jack Hicks made 13 stops in the setback for the Tornados.
Vibber, McAllister, Deronda, Boynton and Carter all tallied two goals for the Eagles. Lyne added a goal and three assists with two ground balls. Senior
Jacob Larochelle record a game-high 13 ground balls, while winning 22-out-of-28 face-offs.
For Bervard, Andrew McDonald scored three goals with an assist with three goals. McCormack had two goals and three assists, while Jacob Gravely had a team-high nine ground balls.
The Eagles closed out their spring break trip on Sunday when they face Keystone College at 11 a.m.
