BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team began the weekend with a 3-0 victory over SUNY Morrisville at Boucher Field on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference action.
The Eagles (7-4-1, 3-0-0 NAC) controlled the game from the start as they tallied twice in the first half. In the 16th minute, junior Mackenzie Lambert delivered a perfect cross into the six-yard box as sophomore Devon St. Louis put home her fourth goal of the season. The Eagles doubled their advantage over the Mustangs (3-6-2, 2-1-2 NAC) just eight minutes later as junior Natalie Aviolla ripped a shot off the keeper and the rebound was placed perfectly for graduate student Charlotte Messer to score her third of the season.
In the second half, Aviolla finally got her seventh goal of the season after recording five shots on goal.
Sophomore Madison Weigler was forced to make two saves in the victory.
Quick turnaround for the squad as they will host SUNY Poly in North Atlantic Conference action tomorrow at noon time.
