BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University field hockey team dropped a non-conference game to the Thomas College Terriers by the final score of 3-1 on Tuesday night at the Winkin Sports Complex.
It was the Terriers (5-6) who got on the board as they did late in the first quarter as they were rewarded for outshooting the Eagles (3-5) by seven shots to zero.
The Terriers doubled their lead early in the second before the comeback attempt was on for the Eagles. Sophomore Maddie Perkins found the back of the net to make it a 2-1 contest. However, for the Eagles; the comeback didn't last as five minutes it was 3-1 Terriers.
The Terriers would hold on to the 3-1 lead for the entirety of the second half en route to the victory.
The field hockey team returns to North Atlantic Conference action on Saturday when they travel to the University of Springfield for a neutral site game with SUNY Morrisville. The game will begin at 4:00 p.m.
