BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory over Lesley University on Sunday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference action inside Newman Gymnasium.
Husson (7-14, 7-3 NAC) dropped the first two points of set number one to Lesley (0-19, 0-9), but was able to rattle off the next 11 thanks to some good serving from junior Alyvia McIntyre. The Eagles were able to maintain their lead and put the finishing touches on a 25-10 set victory.
The second set was more of the same for Husson, as they raced out to a 21-4 lead in the set and managed to make it a two set lead as it won 25-8. The Eagles continued their dominance on the afternoon as they finished off their straight-set victory with a 25-10 set three win.
Freshman Janna Preskorn led the Eagle offense with 11 kills on the day, while McIntyre and freshman Molly Gamache each recorded double-digit assists with 11 and 10 respectively.
Husson will conclude its regular season on Wednesday as it will travel to Framingham State University for a non-conference matchup. First-serve for this non-conference duel is set for 7:15 p.m.
