LYNDONVILLE, Maine – The Husson University women's volleyball closed out their Vermont road trip on Sunday afternoon after a straight-set North Atlantic Conference victory over Vermont State University Lyndon at Stannard Gymnasium.

The Eagles (6-13, 6-3 NAC) jumped out a 12-2 lead over the Hornets (2-16, 2-7 NAC) in the first set as they used a hitting percentage of .462 en route to the first set victory. In the second set, the Eagles scored eight of the first nine points as that run was enough for the second set victory. The third set was much of the same as they scored eight straight points and closed out the match scoring five straight.
The Eagles as a team held a hitting percentage of .234 as they recirded 25 kills and 15 aces for the 43 points scored. Freshman
Janna Preskorn recorded four kills and three aces while freshman
Molly Gamache put up 14 assists and four aces.
The women's volleyball team has one more road game before they return home as they travel to Stanish to take on the Monks of Saint Joseph's College for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference matchup.
