BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University field hockey team showed a dominant display on Sunday afternoon with a 12-0 North Atlantic Conference victory over Wells College at the Winkin Sports Complex.
The Eagles (7-5, 4-0 NAC) started off the game strong with two early goals from senior
Teagan Blackie, as they held a 4-0 lead over the Wells College Express (0-12, 0-3 NAC) at the end of
the first quarter.
The Eagles then saw goals from sophomore
Averi Baker, senior
Amanda Frost, before freshman
Hope Bouchard scored her first colleigate goal as the Eagles led by seven at the half.Â
Husson then continued their offensive prowess in the second half by scoring five goals from five different goal scorers including senior
Madi Burnes and freshman
Rory McGinley scoring their first colleigate goals.Â
Senior
Kimmie Goddard earned a shutout in the victory by saving the two shots she faced.
The Eagles return to action at the Dr. John W. Winkin Sports Complex on Thursday when they close out the regular season against Endicott College at 4:00 p.m.
