BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University field hockey team beat the University of Maine at Farmington 11-0 on Saturday at the Winkin Complex to advance to the North Atlantic Conference Championship.
Husson (8-5) wasted no time asserting itself as the top team in Saturday's NAC semifinal matchup scoring 1:20 into the game as freshman
Faith Tillotson tipped in the eventual game-winning goal off a pass from freshman

Just over two minutes later, senior
Julia Murch gave the Eagles a 2-0 edge over UMF (1-15) on its way to ending the quarter with three more goals, one from sophomore
Maddie Arsenault off an assist by Murch and another by sophomore
Abbie Ross, from Murch and sophomore
Averi Baker to end the quarter with a 5-0 lead.
The second quarter would be all Husson as it added three scores, one from senior
Teagan Blackie from sophomore
Maddie Perkins, a goal by Perkins and the final goal of the half by senior
Phoebe Carlock from freshman
Hope Bouchard.
Bouchard would add another assist in the third quarter on a goal by sophomore Lauren Brown to extend the Eagles advantage to 9-0.
The Eagles added goals in the four quarter, one by Capozzoli from freshman
Elisa Picariello and another by sophomore
Ella Louder from Perkins to run away with the 11-0 decision.
Husson will now host Thomas College on Sunday at 4 p.m. for the NAC championship.
