Bailey Donovan combined for 48 points in an 80-76 hard-fought loss to Bowdoin College on the road Wednesday evening.
Husson (11-5) and Bowdoin (12-6) traded baskets throughout the opening quarter before the Polar Bears edged out a 21-17 lead after the opening quarter.
The Eagles would win the second quarter 22-18 to even the game 39-39 at halftime, but Bowdoin would finish the third quarter on a 23-15 run to carry an eight-point advantage into the deciding quarter.
Husson won the final quarter, 22-18, hitting a late 3-point basket, but the damage had been done in the third quarter as Bowdoin managed to pick up the 80-76 win.
Donovan finished with a team-high 25 points and a game-high 16 rebounds on 7-7 shooting from the charity strip. While Duarte tallied 23 points, five rebounds and four assists, surpassing the 250-career assist plateau on the evening.

Hannah Richards tallied 14 points for the Eagles and junior
Trinity Montigny added six points.
Husson finished 20-21 from the free throw line on the evening while controlling a 38-24 advantage on the glass.
The Eagles return to action on Friday when they battle the University of Maine at Farmington on the road in North Atlantic Conference action.
