CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Husson University men's basketball team came from behind for the second straight game en route to a 83-77 victory over Cazenovia College at Upper Gym on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference action.
The Wildcats (10-6, 5-2Â NAC) opened the scoring with a three before senior Luke Caruso responded with his own three as the Eagles (7-8, 5-0 NAC) responded with five straight points in the early going. SUNY Poly slowly extended their lead for the majority of the first half as they led by as much as 11, but the Eagles were able to cut the lead down to one by the end of the first half.
The second half saw a resurgence from the Eagles for the second straight day as they outscored the Wildcats, 43-36, in the second half to come away with the victory.
Off the bench, junior Jeremy Moronta provided 21 points while junior Scott Lewis had 20. Graduate student Justice Kendall dished out nine assist while also scoring 18 points and sophomore Corey Humbles scored 15 points.Â
It's back home for the men's basketball team as they will host Colby College on Tuesday for their final non-conference matchup of the season with tip-off from Newman Gym set for 7:00 p.m.Â
