SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Husson University women's soccer team closed out a weekend road trip in Massachusetts with a 4-1 loss at Western New England on Sunday afternoon at Suprenant Field.
The Golden Bears (2-1) were on the front foot from the start and was rewarded for their efforts in the 25th minute en route to a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Mackenzie Lambert tallied her fourth colligate goal as Western New England came away with the 4-1 victory.

Hannah Kenney kept the Eagles in the contest with a career-high 12 saves.
The women's soccer team will return home for their home opener on Wednesday when they face the University of Maine at Fort Kent with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m. at Boucher Field.
