Box Score COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The Husson University baseball team opened up the North Atlantic Conference tournament on Sunday afternoon at Fighting Tiger Field with their 13th straight victory as they defeated SUNY Canton, 13-4, in a nine-inning contest.
Senior Ethan Stoddard got the Eagles (21-15) on the board in the first inning with a double to center field to score sophomore Jackson Curtis. The Roos (10-30) would respond as it was 1-1 after 1.5 innings.
In the bottom half of the second, sophomore Austin Snow recorded his first collegiate homer to right field to bring home three runs as the Eagles scored four runs to make it 5-1.
In the third inning, senior Kobe Rogerson hit a single to center field to score two runs as the Eagles cruised to the nine run victory.
Snow drove in four runs on two hits including the home run while Rogerson went 3-for-4 with three runs driven in. Senior Nick Swift also with three hits as he scored four times.
Senior Cam Graham pitched eight-plus innings as he allowed two earned runs and struck out seven. Freshman Ryne Rametta closed out the game as he recorded a strikeout.
The Eagles will take on the host of SUNY Cobleskill tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. with a berth to the championship game on the line.
