Box Score GORHAM, Maine - The Husson University baseball team visited Ed Flaherty Field on Wednesday afternoon as they dropped a 14-2 contest to the Huskies of Southern Maine.
With two outs in the first inning, the Eagles (7-11) opened the scoring. Sophomore Jackson Curtis singled to right field and was driven home on a RBI double from junior Joshua Scott.
The Eagles would double the lead in the third as senior Tyler Parke singled to lead off the inning. Sophomore Akira Warren bunted him over to second and senior Kobe Rogerson drove him in with a single through the left side of the infield.
It was all Huskies (7-12) after that as they scored 14 unanswered to take the non-conference victory.
Senior Cam Graham started the game for the Eagles as he went two-plus innings as he struck out two and gave up six runs. Seniors Jake Gregoire, Hunter O'Connor, as well as sophomores Jackson Thayer, Ryan Penney, Jackson Thayer, Ryan Robb, and freshman Matt Wallingford made an appearance from the bullpen.
The team begins North Atlantic Conference action on the weekend as they are scheduled to travel to Vermont for a four game weekend set with Northern-Vermont Lyndon. Game one of the series is on Saturday at noon.
