Box Score LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – The Husson University men's lacrosse team cruised to a 15-3 win in a North Atlantic Conference matchup against Northern Vermont University Lyndon on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles (6-10, 3-4 NAC) took control of the game early, as they took a 5-1 lead behind five different goal scorers. Freshman Sean Lyne, sophomore Danny Carter, junior Ben Huynh, and seniors Jaden Wells and Gunner McAllister each tallied goals during the frame.
Husson added onto their lead in the second period as Carter added two more goals to his tally and McAllister and Lyne each contributed one to the Eagles scoring column to put them up 9-2 at the half.
After Lyndon (1-9, 0-6 NAC) outscored Husson 1-0 in the third period, the Eagles got back to scoring in the final period as they put six more goals onto their tally. Wells put home four, while Huynh and senior Darryn Bailey scored one goal each during the frame to put the game away.
In net for the Eagles, senior Bryan Wagg made 14 saves on 17 shots.
The Eagles return to action tomorrow as they host SUNY Poly in their regular season finale. The opening face-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Boucher Field.
