Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine - The Husson University men's lacrosse team cruised to a 23-10 North Atlantic Conference victory over Thomas College on Saturday afternoon in Waterville.
The two teams played to an evenly matched first quarter as the Eagles (4-9, 1-3 NAC) led 3-2 after the frame thanks to goals from seniors Jaden Wells and Gunner McAllister and sophomore Danny Carter.
Husson broke the game open in the second period as they outscored the Terriers (1-4, 1-2 NAC) 11-4 to take a 14-6 lead into the intermission, with seven Eagles finding the back of the net during the quarter. McAllister added three more goals to his tally, while freshman Sean Lyne and Wells recorded two goals each, and Carter, as well as juniors Ben Huynh and Matthew Boynton, and senior Roman Dennis each contributed one.
The Eagles padded their lead in the third quarter as they put in seven more goals. Senior Darryn Bailey found the scoring column, along with Carter adding two goals and Lyne, Huynh, Wells, and McAllister scoring one goal each.
The Eagles salted the game away in the final period as McAllister and Carter each added one goal to bring each of their tallies to six.
In net for Husson, senior Bryan Wagg made 14 saves.
The Eagles are back in action on Sunday, April 10th, as they host SUNY Poly. The opening face-off at Boucher Field is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
