Box Score 2 BEVERLY, Mass. - The Husson University baseball team falls to the Endicott College Guls in both games of a nine-inning doubleheader on Saturday at North Field. Endicott (11-3) won game one, 14-2, then game two, 14-1.
Endicott scored the first runs of the morning as John Mulready hit a three run homer with two outs in the second inning then added a run in the third inning to take a 4-0 lead.
Husson (4-10) got themselves back into the game with two runs in the fourth inning as junior Joshua Scott crushed his third homer of the season for a solo shot followed by a run scored via an error.
But the Gulls took command of game one by scoring seven unanswered runs.
Senior Cam Graham started game one as he allowed five earned runs on seven hits and recorded three strikeouts. Junior Harrison Lendrum, freshman Bradley McLaughlin, freshman Matt Wallingford, senior Logan Sheridan, sophomore Zain Fitzsimmons, and senior Evan Holzworth all made a relief appearance for the Eagles.
In game two, the Gulls offense continued their fire power scoring six straight runs before Scott homered again but the Gulls would come away with the victory.
Freshman Connor Abood, seniors Alex Smith and Jake Gregoire, sophomore Ryan Robb, and freshman Ryne Rametta all pitched during the game.
After 14 games on the road, the baseball team will finally get to play at the Winkin Sports Complex. They will host Bates College for a nine-inning contest on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
