FRANKLIN, Mass. - The Husson University men's lacrosse team opened their campaign on Sunday afternoon with a 21-8 loss at Dean College. The Eagles begin the season 0-1 while Dean is 1-0. 

The Great Northeast Atlantic Conference school shutout the Eagles in the first quarter with a 4-0 lead. Junior Ben Huynh, senior Gunner McAllister, and senior Darryn Bailey each scored for the Eagles in the second quarter as they trailed, 10-3. 

In the third quarter, sophomore Danny Carter tallied his first goal of the season from senior Roman Dennis while the Eagles scored four times in the fourth quarter including two from McAllister. 

In goal for the Eagles, senior Bryan Waggs made 18 saves including many point-blank saves. 

The Eagles have a couple days to regroup before hosting the University of Southern Maine Huskies in the Eagles' home opener. Face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2nd at Boucher Field.
