BANGOR, Maine - Husson University blanked Thomas College, 3-0, in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) field hockey contest on Saturday night at the Dr. John W. Winkin Sports Complex.

Husson (5-5, 2-0 NECC) an evenly matched scoreless tie in the fifth minute when freshman Maddie Perkins scored off a pass from her sister senior Katie Perkins. The Eagles doubles their lead when junior Phoebe Carlock tallied her first of the season off her own rebound shot at the 10:07 mark. The green and gold capped the game scoring in the 16th minute when senior Adelle Foss hit pay dirt off a senior Leigha Carrier pass.

Husson held the lead in shots (18-10), shots on goal (10-6), and penalty corners (11-6) in the conference victory.

Thomas (4-7, 1-1 NECC) sophomores Elise Syphers and Brennan Pinto combined to make six saves while Husson netminder senior Kimmie Goddard turned away six shots to post her third shutout of the year.

Husson will play at the University of Maine at Farmington on Tuesday in a NECC matchup set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
