CASTINE, Maine – The Husson University volleyball team moved on to the North Atlantic Conference East Division Championship game with a 3-1 victory over Northern Vermont University-Johnson on Saturday afternoon at Maine Maritime Academy.
 
The Eagles (12-10) dug themselves a little hole early as they dropped the first set to the Badgers (10-11) 25-22.
 
Husson bounced back and won the next three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-22 to pick up the match victory.
 
Sophomore Julia Leavitt led the Eagles' offensive attack with a game-high 22 kills in addition to adding 13 digs to complete a double-double effort. Sophomore Alyvia McIntyre dished out a game-high 39 assists for Husson.
 
The Eagles will compete on Sunday in the NAC East Championship game against the top-seeded Maine Maritime Academy Mariners. First-serve for this championship contest is set for 12:00 p.m.
