BEVERLY, Mass. — The Husson University football dropped its Commonwealth Coast Conference opener against Endicott College on the road Saturday afternoon.

Endicott (5-0) scored to take a 6-0 advantage in the opening quarter and held on to a slim 6-0 lead heading into the half.

The Gulls added to their lead with a touchdown in the third quarter to carry a 13-0 edge heading into the final quarter of play.Â

Endicott added an insurance score late in the fourth quarter to hang on for a 20-0 win over Husson (1-4).

Nic Visser finished 22 of 33 for 196 yards while senior
Jon Bell catch four of Visser's passes for a game-high 74 receiving yards.

Elijah Garnett finished with 77 yards on the ground and junior
Tucker Buzzell tallied a game-high 14 tackles, nine solo.Â

Tyrek Mann finished with double-digit stops for the Eagles, recording 10 tackles and a sack for the game, while junior
Adam Bertrand also posted double-digit stops with 10.

The Eagles return to action on Saturday when they host the University of New England at home for the 2nd annual Lobster Trap Game at 1 p.m.Â
