Box Score BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University baseball team (15-5, 15-1 North Atlantic Conference) began a five-game series with the Thomas College Terriers (8-5, 7-3 NAC) on Thursday afternoon with a 6-1 loss at the Harold Alfond Diamond.
The opening run of the contest was scored in the third inning with runners on the corners, as David LeBlanc dropped a blooper into right field to help score Arika Warren.
Thomas tied the game later on in the sixth as Bradley Smith singled through the left side to score Lucas Harmon. The Terriers took the lead in the seventh off a Kyle Gleason double to lead off the inning and scored on a sacrifice fly from Devin Grindle.
Putting the game out of reach in the top of the ninth inning, the Terriers added on four more runs for the, 6-1, win.
ON THE MOUND
Chris Naylor went six innings, giving up eight hits. Jake Gregoire (L, 1-1) pitched the seventh and eighth inning and gave up a hit and one run. Three Eagles wrapped up the game on the mound in the ninth.
Dylan Copeland (W, 3-1) threw 112 pitches en route to a complete game, surrendering five hits and one run.
OFF THE BAT

Akira Warren scored the lone run of the day off a David LeBlanc RBI.

Both Kyle Gleason and Austin Stebbins helped the Terriers with a 3-for-5 day at the plate.

Brandon Smith went 2-for-4 on the afternoon for the Eagles.
