Box Score BANGOR, Maine - Sydney Allen and Bailey Donovan each scored 16 points as the Husson University women's basketball team earned a season opening victory over New England College, 67-30, on Monday night at Newman Gym. The Pilgrims fall to 0-2 on the young season while the Eagles are 1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a very even first quarter, the Eagles used a 21-point second quarter to take a 34-18 lead at the half. In the third quarter, it was much of the same. The Eagles scored 26 points and allowed nine to take a 60-27 lead. In the four quarter, there were a combined ten points as the Eagles took home the victory.

Allen scored 11 straight points in the third quarter.

Megan Peach chipped in seven points and six rebounds.

Makaelyn Porter, Sophia McVicar, Trinity Montigny, and Cassie Urso each with five points.

Husson's defense held the Pilgrims to 20.5% (9-for-44) shooting from the floor while the Eagles shot 44.3% (23-for-52) from the floor.

The Eagles will hit the road for the first time this season when they head to Waltham, Massachusetts for the Brandeis University Tip-Off Tournament. The Eagles will take on Connecticut College in the opening round on Friday, November 12th at 7 p.m.
