Volleyball Improves to 5-0 for the First Time Since 2011 with 3-0 Win over UMaine-Machias

BANGOR, Maine - Husson improves to 5-0 with their eighth straight win against UMaine-Machias (1-4). The Eagles defeated the Clippers 3-0 on Tuesday evening by scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-15.

Bailey Cote paced the Husson attack with nine of the teams 35 kills on the evening, with a .353 hitting percentage. Mary Grace Power and Lindsay Chapman contributed with seven kills each. The setter, Hanna Hembrow collected a match-high of 23 assists and four serving aces.

On the defensive end, the Eagles were lead by Delaney Chisholm with 10 digs while Kaitlyn Woods chipped in six.

Ciara Schoppee had nine digs to lead the Clippers defense, while Sam Penn had seven kills to pace their offense.

Husson overpowered Machias in kills (35-7), assists (33-7) and serving aces (10-2)

The Eagles travel to Standish, Maine to play in the Saint Joseph's College Autumn Invitational this weekend. They will play UMaine- Fort Kent and UMaine- Presque Isle on Friday and Saint Joseph's (ME) on Saturday.
