Box Score BANGOR, Maine – Laura Arnold's golden goal in the 108th minute of double overtime lifted Colby to a 1-0 victory over Husson on Sunday afternoon at Boucher Field.
The match went scoreless until Arnold scored the game winner with 1:45 remaining in the second overtime period.
Leah Hibbad and Taylor Fortin lead Husson (1-3) with two shots, while Arnold had game-high four shots for Colby (1-1).
Kayla Gordon stopped eight of the nine shots she faced in the loss. Samantha Rizzo tallied seven saves in the win.
The Mules outshot the Eagles 17-10.
Husson will take on Maine-Fort Kent on Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference game at Boucher Field. The Mules will host Thomas (Maine) in the home opener on Wednesday night with an 8:00 p.m. kickoff.
