Box Score BANGOR, Maine - Husson dropped a 4-0 decision to Maine-Farmington on Tuesday night in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action at Boucher Field. The Eagles suffer their first shutout loss at home to the Beavers since 2002.
Maine-Farmington (6-9-1, 3-4-1 NAC) scored first in the 15th minute when Bridget Humphrey took a pass from Dayle Jordan and booted it pass Husson (6-8-1, 3-4 NAC) Goalie Kayla Gordon. The Beavers scored again in the 21st minute when Ashley Gleason found the back of the net from a nice pass from Humphrey for a 2-0 lead. Gleason made the score 3-0 on a penalty kick in the 33rd minute for her second of the game.
Katie Clark scored in the 78th minute for the final tally of the game.
Leah Hibbad had a game high six shots and two shots on goal for Husson.
Netminder Kaiana Thompson recorded nine saves in the win to pick her second shutout of the season.
Gordon made 11 saves in the defeat.
Husson resumes NAC play Saturday when they travel to Castleton for 1 p.m. kickoff. The Beavers host Lyndon State on Saturday for a 12 p.m. game.
