Box Score WATERVILLE, ME – The Eagles found the back of the cage seven times, beating the Thomas College Terriers by a score of 7-0. With the win, Husson improves to 3-5 (1-0) and Thomas falls to 3-7 (0-1).
Kerianne Downing (Dedham, MA) started the scoring outburst just 16-seconds into the game. Britt Mellor (Belfast, ME) assisted on the goal. Downing registered her second goal of the game at 1:25 of the first half, Taylor Shaw (Plymouth, ME) assisted on the goal.
The Eagles would go on to score three more goals in the first half. Melissa Souza (East Bridgewater, MA) notched her second goal of the season at 4:23. Libby Kain (Dexter, ME) tallied her third goal of the season at 18:06. Souza registered the assist on the Kain goal. Sarah Eastman (Dexter, ME) scored her second goal of the season at 23:12, assisted by Amber Anderson (Dover-Foxcroft, ME).
The Eagles added two goals in the second half to cap off the conference win. Kayla Royer (Greene, ME) notched her first of the season, with Souza picking up her second assist of the game on the goal. Kain added a second goal of the game and fourth of the season.
Abby Greenleaf (Newfield, ME) made 8 saves in the win.
