Field Hockey Defeats Southern Maine 2-0

Box Score

GORHAM, ME – Kaitlin Dolloff (Richmond, RI) made seven saves to lead the Husson University field hockey team to a 2-0 win over Southern Maine in the Southern Maine Invitational on Sunday. With the win, Husson improves to 2-0 while Southern Maine falls to 1-1.

21 minutes into the game, Sarah Eastman (Dexter, ME) gave the Eagles the lead off a scrum in front of the net.

The score would remain that way until Taylor Lovley (Newport, ME) sealed the game in the 65th minute off a rebound. Olivia Plaisted (Hampden, ME) assisted on the goal.

"Dolloff had a spectacular game in net," said Husson head coach Madeline Hoeppner. "We were able to take advantage of loose balls and attack with speed."

The Eagles return to the field on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. game at the University of New England.
