Box Score BANGOR, ME – Taylor Lovley (Newport, ME) scored two goals and added two assists as the Husson University field hockey team erupted on offense for a 10-1 win over Castleton in a NAC Tournament semifinal on Saturday evening at the Winkin Sports Complex. Husson improves to 8-8 on the year while Castleton finishes at 2-15. The Eagles will host the winner of the Maine-Farmington and Thomas game in the championship contest on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Taylor Shaw (Plymouth, ME) gave the Eagles the lead in the seventh minute with an unassisted goal before Lovley scored the game-winner in the 12th minute with an assist from Mikayla Toth (Skowhegan, ME).
Elizabeth Terry (Lebanon, ME) notched the Eagles' third goal in the 19th minute with Lovley assisting before Sarah Eastman (Dexter, ME) scored in the 20th minute on Lovley's second assist.
Lovley finished the first half scoring with her second goal in the 32nd minute with an assist from Britt Mellor (Belfast, ME).
Melissa Souza (East Bridgewater, MA) got things going early in the second half with a goal courtesy of a Kayla Royer (Greene, ME) assist before Kerianne Downing (Dedham, MA) scored an unassisted goal in the 38th minute.
Hanna Jordan (Lisbon Falls, ME) found Lauren Russell (Saco, ME) for a goal in the 49th minute and Olivia Plaisted (Hampden, ME) scored in the 64th minute with an assist from Annika Durrell (Livermore, ME).
Souza finished the Husson scoring in the 66th minute before Castleton's Krity Pinkham scored just before the final whistle.
Kaitlin Dolloff (Richmond, RI) made one save in net for Husson while Jess Galatioto made 14 for Castleton.
