Box Score Bangor, ME – Husson women's soccer fell to North Atlantic Conference opponent the University of Maine at Farmington 3-1, Saturday night at Boucher Field.
Both teams were scoreless until the 23rd minute when the Beavers struck first blood on the foot of Ava Amador. Shelby Bryant and Alexandra Crocker both had assists on the first goal of the game.
Husson answered back in the 34th minute when Courtney Hill (Calais, ME) connected with Desir'ee Hamler (Franklin, NJ) for her second goal of the season making it 1-1.
Farmington's Kayla Tuttle broke the tie with a goal assisted by Sara Quimby to put the Beavers up 2-1 and Amador added her second goal of the game to push the a victory out of reach for the Eagles who are now 0-1-1 in the NAC.
Farmington improves to 2-0 in the NAC with two goalkeepers splitting time in net, Beth Lebel and Amy Jones, who combined for 3 saves on the night.
Husson's Jess Poulin (Albion, ME) had 13 saves in 90 minutes in net.
The Eagles will hit the road next weekend when they travel to Green Mountain on Saturday, September 28th for a match time at 3:30 PM and Castleton State Sunday, September 29th for a 2:30 PM match time.
