Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Ben
Landry netted 10 goals to lead Husson University to a 24-5 North
Atlantic Conference victory over Lyndon Saturday in men's
lacrosse action. With the win, Husson improves their record to 9-6
overall and 7-1 within the NAC while Lyndon drops to 3-7 overall
and to a 2-5 mark in the NAC.
Landry scored seven goals in the first half as
the Eagles went into the break with a commanding 16-0 lead.
Lyndon's first goal came with 4:50 left in the third quarter
when Rob Behan (Brantford, Conn.) punched in a goal. Chris Mansour
(Mansfield, Mass.) scored one minute later on a man up opportunity
to make the score 20-2. Lyndon score three more goals in the fourth
quarter while Husson tallied four in the closing
period.
Anthony Diaz and Mitch Heaps each scored three
goals for Husson while teammates Nick Brown, Ethan Menard, and
Derrick Schlimm had two goals. Diaz had seven assists in the
win.
Josh
Arango (Salisbury, Mass.) had two assists and a goal for Lyndon.
Taylor Stout (Burlington, Vt.) and Kali Stoddard-Imari
(Lyndonville, Vt.) each netted one goal in the loss.
