Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine --- Husson cruised by Colby College 17-6 to in
non-conference play Thursday at Coombs Field. Nick Arthers
(Belfast, Maine) had two home runs, a double, and seven RBI for
Husson (23-11).
The seven RBIs gives Arthers 51 on the season which eclipses the
previous school record of 50 set by Troy Martin in 1995.
Husson improves to 23-11 overall, while the Mules fall to
5-18.
Arthers had a grand slam home run in a six-run second inning and
smacked a two-run homer in the sixth inning. He also had a
sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to drive in the final Eagle run.
Arthers went 3-for-5 on the day and had three runs scored.
LaMantia had his grand slam homer in a five-run fourth inning for
Colby (5-18). Will Greenberg (Rye Brook, N.Y.) had an RBI single in
the inning. The Mules got their other run when Kyle McKay (Bedford,
N.H.) doubled and scored on a single by John Lerner (Canton,
Mass.).
Craig Cooper (Trumbull, Conn.) had two hits, including a double,
for Colby. Mike Doherty (Lynnfield, Mass.) also had two hits and
scored a run.
