Eagles Remain Unbeaten At Home With 4-0 Win Against Beavers

Bangor, ME - Husson capped off regularly scheduled North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play with a 4-0 win over visiting University of Maine at Farmington.  With the win, the Eagles improve to 13-5 (6-1 conf.) and the Beavers fall to 7-9-1 (3-3-1 conf).  With the win, the Eagles remain unbeaten at Boucher field 9-0.

Despite scoring chances for both teams, the first forty-five minutes of play remained scoreless.  In the first half Husson outshot University of Maine at Farmington 10-3.

Alex Laniewski (So. Scarborough, ME) kicked off the Eagles scoring with a goal six minutes into the second half.  Shelby Bradford (Sr., Lee, ME) provided the assist sending a long ball to Laniewski who collected the ball out of the air and scored.  Seven minutes later, Shelby Bradford scored off of a Caitlyn Butterfield (Jr., Gorham, ME) corner.

Laniewski netted her second goal of the day from a Michelle Manning (Jr., Hampden, ME) through ball.  The final Eagle goal of the day was an unassisted shot by Meg Clement.  Clement settled the loose ball in the Beaver goal box and fired a close range goal.

Beavers goalkeeper, McKell Barnes (Jr., Durham, ME) tallied twelve saves on the day while Eagles keeper Jen Plourde (Sr., Howland, ME) recorded two saves.
