Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine --- Heather Quadir (Medfield, Mass.) continued her hot scoring pace with two goals and one assist as the Colby College field hockey team scored four times in the second half to pull away for a 6-1 non-conference victory over Husson on Monday night at Bill Alfond Field.
Colby improves to 2-3 overall and has scored 15 goals in the past three games. Quadir has been a major force on offense with six goals and two assists during that stretch.
The Mules led 2-1 at halftime on goals by Amy Campbell (North Andover, Mass.) and Quadir. Meryl Poulin (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) picked up her team-best third assist of the season on Quadir's goal.
Husson (0-4) tallied off a penalty corner with 4:01 to play on a score by Krystal Doughty (Lisbon Falls, Maine).
Frazer Humes (Greenwood Village, Colo.) picked up assists on the first two goals for Colby in the second half. Chelsea Rosenheimer (Nashotah, Wis.) scored just 2:30 into the half and Quadir got her second goal about 15 minutes into play.
Quadir got her assist on a goal by Poulin at 53:15 of the contest and the Mules wrapped things up when junior back Meghan Saccone (Andover, Mass.) knocked in her first collegiate goal off the first collegiate assist for Sarah Falkof (Wilmette, Ill.).
Liz Fontaine (Wilbraham, Mass.) made four stops in goal for Colby, which plays host to Middlebury College at 11 a.m. Saturday. Kara Voisine (Corinth, Maine) stopped six shots for the Eagles.
