Box Score Bangor, ME – Husson remain undefeated in NAC play with an
8-0 win over MMA. Megan LaJoie (So, Van Buren, ME) tied a school
record with 5 goals in a game to pace the Eagles.
LaJoie scored five straight goals her first coming mid way through
the first half. Her first goal came as she just moved up front from
her starting defenders position. LaJoie's got started as she
cleaned up a rebound off a Megan Clement (So, Brunswick, ME) shot.
Shelby Bradford (Jr, Lee, ME) recorded her first of three assist on
her next goal. LaJoie was assisted by Michelle Manning (So,
Hampden, ME) next as Bradford set her up for her next two
goals.
Caitlyn Butterfield opened the scoring for the Eagles as she
converted a penalty kick 6:19 into the game. Bradford scored next
with a nice left footed goal from 20 yards out off an assist from
Katie Nickerson (Sr, Belfast, ME). LaJoie scored the next five
goals.
Clement rounded out the scoring as Amy Sans assisted on the goal
(Jr, Tyngsboro, MA).
The Eagles have now won 6 out of their last 7. Tatyana Wolterbeek
(Sr, Wells, ME) and the defense of Butterfield, Jana Clukey (SO,
Presque Isle, ME) and Katelyn Cloutier (Fy, Groveton, NH) recorded
their 7th shot out of the season. Wolterbeek had one save.
Lacey Jackson (So, York, PA) had 11 saves for the MMA. MMA falls to
4-9-2 (1-4-1 NAC) while Husson moves to 11-3 (6-0 NAC).
