Jodie Fairbank enters her third season as Husson head volleyball coach in 2015. Her school and career record entering the season is 20-41.
Fairbank was a three-year letter winner as a setter at the University of Southern Maine from 1996-98 before transferring to Elizabeth City State University for the 1999 season.
Fairbank has had an impressive history with the United States Army since she first served in 2005, winning multiple medals in Commendation, Achievement, and Good Conduct. She previously held the position of Networks Systems Administrator, Repair and Utilities Manager, Information Systems Specialist, and Information Management Supervisor. Also, in the Army, Fairbank coached and was a team member of two league teams.
Along with her ties to Maine, Fairbank has three family members that attended Husson, including two Husson Sports Hall of Fame members. Both her father, Donald “Buddy” Wood ’75, and grandfather, Colby N. Wood ’34, were inducted for their baseball careers.
Fairbank received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Elizabeth City State University in 2002 and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the American Military University in 2009.
The Machias, Maine, native attended Machias High School.
