Richard Ranaldo joined the Husson University men's lacrosse program as an assistant coach in 2023.

CAREER AT A GLANCE:

  • Since joining coach O'Neill's staff, Ranaldo has helped the Eagles to a 23-26 (.469) overall, including a 9-13 (.409) mark in North Atlantic Conference games.
  • Has coached multiple All-North Atlantic Conference selections - Matt Boynton (2023), Gus Eisenmann (2023), Bryce DeRonda (2023), Jacob Larochelle (2023), Gunner McAllister (2023), Owen Giorgio (2024, 2025), Kiernan Field (2025) and Matt Richardson (2025).
  • Has guided one North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year winner - Kiernan Field (2025).
  • Has worked with one North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Year selection - Owen Giorgio (2025).
  • At Vermont, Ranaldo helped guide the Catamounts to a 40-14 (.741) overall record.
  • He has coached one United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American - Scott Gabrielsen (1986)

  • Ranaldo was a three-year member of the University of Vermont men's lacrosse program from 1976, 1979-80 as a midfielder.
PERSONAL:
  • Native of Long Island, N.Y. (North Shore High School).
  • Earned his bachelors of science in civil engineering from the University of Vermont in 1980.
  • He and his wife Melissa have two children, Michael and Kathryn.
