J Thomas joined the Husson University men's basketball program as an assistant coach in 2023-24.

CAREER AT A GLANCE:

Since joining coach Caruso's staff before the 2023-24 season, Thomas has helped lead the Eagles to one North Atlantic Conference Championship, one NCAA Division III Men's Basketball National Championship appearance and a 23-6 (.793) record, including a 11-3 (.786) mark in NAC games.
Thomas has coached two All-North Atlantic Conference selections - Jeremy Moronta (2023-24) and Riles Neff (2023-24).
Has tutored one North Atlantic Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player - Jeremy Moronta (2023-24).
Thomas has mentored two Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association All-State honorees - Riles Neff (2023-24) and Jeremy Moronta (2023-24).
Thomas has guided one Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association All-Rookie Team selection - Andre McCauley (2023-24).
Has tutored one Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association State Player of the Year winner - Riles Neff (2023-24).

Thomas was a four-year member of the Husson University men's basketball team from 2019-2023 as a guard.
He finished his career with 527 points, 216 rebounds, 54 assists, 29 steals and 11 blocks in 77 games played.
Earned a spot on the North Atlantic Conference Sportmanship team in 2022-23.

PERSONAL:

Thomas earned a bachelor of science in mass communications with a concentration in sports journalism from Husson in 2023.
