Quan Soyini joined the Husson University football program's coaching staff in 2021 and has served as the cornerbacks coach.

CAREER AT A GLANCE:
  • Since joining the Husson coaching staff, Soyini has helped guide the Eagles to a 19-12 (.613) record, including an 11-7 (.611) mark in Commonwealth Coast Conference contests.
  • Soyini has coached multiple All-Conference selections during his time with the Eagles - Antwan Turner (2021), Alex Brown (2022).

ATHLETIC CAREER:
  • Prior to joining the Eagle coaching staff, Soyini was a four-year letter winner as a member of the Husson football team as a defensive back/kick returner from 2016-19.
  • In 43 career games played, Soyini recorded 118 total tackles (102 solo, 16 assisted, 7.5 for loss) with 1.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, an fumble recovery, 17 interceptions with 33 pass breakups and two pick 6’s.
  • The 2018 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Special Teams Player of the Year also returned 46 punts for 766 yards, averaging 16.7 yards per return with four touchdowns.
  • Soyini was a three-time ECFC First Team All-Conference honoree and is the Eagles’ all-time leader in interceptions (17), passes defended (50), interception return touchdowns (2), punt return touchdowns (3), punt return yards (766), punt returns (46), and punt return average (15.3), while ranking among the top-10 career leaders in interception return yards (157, 3rd).
  • Soyini also holds the single-season records for punt return yards (430 in 2018), punt return TDs (3 in 2018), interceptions (9 in 2017), passes defended (23 in 2017), punt return TDs (2 in 2017), and interception return TDs (2 in 2017)
  • In addition, he also holds the single-game records for longest punt return (82 at RPI in 2017), punt return yards (147 at Castleton in 2018), and highest average gain per punt return (40.5 at SUNY Maritime in 2018).
  • Following his junior season, Soyini earned numerous accolades, as he was named to the Associated Press Little All-American Second Team, the Hansen Ratings All-American Second Team, the d3football.com All-East Region Third Team, the New England Football Writers DII/DIII All-New England Team, and the Hansen Ratings All-East first team.
  • Soyini’s breakout junior campaign earned him national recognition going into senior season, as he was named a preseason All-American by Lindy’s Sports, freeagentfootball.com and College Football America.

PERSONAL:
  • A native of Manchester, Connecticut (Manchester High School).
  • Soyini earned a bachelor of science in sport management from Husson University in 2019.
