Husson University

Coach Averill enters his second season with the Husson program. Before arriving at Husson, Duncan spent the 2006 season at Norwich University in Vermont where he coached the running backs. The previous two seasons, Coach Averill worked at Maine Maritime Academy where he coached the Defensive Backs and Special Teams. He spent one season as an assistant coach at his alma mater Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater Massachusetts.

Coach Averill oversees all the Athletic Facilities at Husson.  Coach Averill graduated from Bridgewater State College with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Recreation. He played four years of football at Bridgewater State College under legendary head coach Peter Mazzaferro. Coach Averill is a native of Farmington, ME where he graduated from Mt. Blue High School. Coach Averill and his wife the former Lee Elwell were married this past July. They reside in Bangor.
