Bri Robertson enters her third season as an assistant coach with the Husson field hockey team in 2019.
RECENTLY:
Robertson’s leadership was was evident this past fall as she helped guide the Eagle field hockey program to a 5-12 overall record, including a 1-3 mark in NAC play en route to earning the their seventh conference championship in the last ten years when senior Arika Brochu tallied the game-winning goal in overtime vs. Thomas (Maine) in the NAC/NECC Field Hockey Alliance Championship final.
PAST SEASONS:
In her first season on the staff (2017), Robertson helped the Eagles posted their finest season in their 21-year history. The Eagles went a program record 13-6 with a 5-0 record in NAC play and, for the sixth time in the last nine years, captured the conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. In the first round, Husson clinched their first-ever national tourney win and over a ranked opponent with a 1-0 upset triumph over #5 Babson College - on their home field - before falling to #14 Rochester (N.Y.), 2-1, - on Middlebury College’s Kohn Field - in the second round.
PREVIOUSLY:
Robertson was a four-year letterwinner as a member of the defense for the University of Maine field hockey team (2011-14). Maine was ranked 17th in the nation during her senior year. As a junior she helped the Black Bears finish third America East in goals against average (1.87) and second in goals allowed (38). She was named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2012. In all, Robertson appeared in 29 games, while recording one defensive save her junior season against Vermont on November 2nd.
PERSONAL:
Robertson earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from the University of Maine in 2015.
A native of Bradley, Maine, Robertson attended John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor, Maine (2007-11). She was a tri-sport student athlete, playing varsity field hockey and ice hockey while competing on the track and field team for four years.
