Biography

2017: Played in 38 games as a sophomore with 35 starts in right field…hit .343 (37-for-108) with 20 runs, six doubles, three triples, a homer and 21 RBI...posted a .481 slugging percentage with a .392 OBP and a .873 OPS...recorded career-highs across the board...one of the three players on the team to record a single, a double, a triple and a home run...finished the season with eight multi-hit games and four multiple RBI Games, which included a four RBI game versus Mitchell on March 7th...smacked her first collegiate homerun on April 8th against Fisher...garnered NAC Player of Week honors once and Second Team All-NAC accolades.

2016: Played in 35 games as a sophomore…started three games at pitcher, six at catcher, three in left and 14 in right... hit .236 (17-for-74) with seven runs, six doubles, one triple, seven RBI and two stolen bases…posted a .338 slugging percentage with a .326 OBP and a .663 OPS…made one error in 30 total chances for a solid .967 fielding percentage…finished the season with three multi-hit games…posted a 0-3 record in eight appeareances with three starts over 22 2/3 innings in the circle…struck out 11…yielded an opponent batting average of .236 (21-for-89) and a WHIP of 1.32…recorded her first hit, including the first double of her NCAA career, when she went 1-for-3 against Bridgewater (Va.) on March 8th…smacked her first collegiate triple on April 30th against UMaine-Presque Isle…made her first NCAA appearance in the circle on March 7th versus Defiance...tossed three relief innings of shutout ball, allowing just two hits with two K’s and a walk in the 4-0 loss to the Yellowjackets.

Before Husson: Played four years of varsity softball for Greg Smith at Calais High School...During her junior season at Calais, Smith helped lead her school to a Class C State Championship runner-up finish while posting a 12-0 record with an 0.29 earned run average in the regular season. She struck out 136 and walked just 15 in 72 innings. She also hit .708 with five home runs, 10 doubles and 35 RBIs and was named the 2014 PVC Player of the Year.
