WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its Winter/Spring 2024-25 All-Academic Team on Monday and Husson University have 83 student athletes recognized.
Husson tied with Thomas College for the most student-athletes recognized across eight different sports.
The 405 student-athletes honored represent 47 teams across eight NAC-sponsored sports. Baseball leads with 75 honorees, followed by softball with 66. Rounding out the list are women's basketball (64), men's basketball (55), women's lacrosse (48), women's track & field (41), men's track & field (30), and men's lacrosse (26).
The 2024-2025 NAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team includes 108 first-years, 106 sophomores, 83 juniors, 78 seniors, and 29 graduate students, showcasing academic excellence across all class levels.
In order to be eligible for All-Academic honors, student athletes must be participating members of their respective teams and achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Member institutions are responsible for identifying eligible student athletes.
Husson and Thomas led the list of 10 NAC institutions with 83 student-athletes each earning recognition on the 2024-2025 NAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. UMaine-Farmington followed with 60 honorees, while Vermont State University Lyndon (37), UMaine-Presque Isle (33), and SUNY Cobleskill (31) completed the top five. Also represented were Maine Maritime Academy (28), Vermont State University Johnson (19), SUNY Delhi (17), and Lesley University (14).
NAC All-Academic Team honors are bestowed twice a year, at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters. The Winter/Spring semester All-Academic Team includes only student athletes who competed in sports with a winter and spring conference championship - men's and women's basketball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, and men's and women's track & field.
The NAC has 10 member institutions including SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Delhi, UMaine-Farmington, Husson University, Vermont State University Johnson, Lesley University, Vermont State University Lyndon, Maine Maritime Academy, UMaine-Presque Isle, and Thomas College.
