AMHERST, Mass. — Junior
Averi Baker broke the all-time career goals record in the Eagles 25-2 to NCAA First Round loss on the road Saturday against No. 13 William Smith College.
William Smith (13-4) began Saturday's NCAA matchup on a 12-0 run over the opening quarter and first five minutes of the second quarter before Husson (7-8) broke its scoring drought with a goal at the 9:42 mark in the second.
Baker powered tallied goal number 131 for her career, surpassing women's lacrosse head coach Amanda Deshaies for the most goals in program history. Deshaies set the initial record from 2015-18 and Baker entered her junior campaign with 95 goals, needing 36 to break the record.
Following Baker's score, William Smith added three more goals before senior
Maddy Benoit scored with 3:30 remaining in the first half to make the deficit 15-2 off an assist from freshman
Kate Boehmcke.
William Smith added 10 more goals over the final 30 minutes to come away with the 25-2 decision and advance to face Amherst College on Sunday.

Jordyn Lengle finished with a team-high three ground balls and three caused turnovers, while senior
Emma Beegz added two ground balls and freshman
Chelsea Curtis tallied two more ground balls.
Beegz finished with six saves in cage and sophomore
