BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University women's basketball team returned to action on Monday evening rolling past Vermont State University Lyndon 103-44 in North Atlantic Conference Action.
Husson (4-9, 3-1 NAC) was led by freshman
Saige Evans who finished with a career-high 14 points to go along with three steals and one block. Senior
Maci Beals added a career-high 12 points, while freshmen
Aubrey Kachnovich finished with a career high eight points and
Sam Haber added a career-high five points.
The Eagles opened the night rolling off a 30-6 opening quarter over Lyndon (3-7, 1-1 NAC) en route to controlling a 55-19 advantage at the half.
Husson closed out the night with 48 second-half points, while holding the Hornets to 25 points in the second half.
The Eagles dominated in the paint, scoring 48 points and 43 points following 32 Lyndon turnovers.
Additionally, Husson racked up an impressive 71 points off the bench as 15 players scored in the win, led by Evans, senior
Makaelyn Porter who had 12 points, Beals and freshman
Alana Seward who finished with 10 points.
Senior's
Jordyn Lengle and
Trinity Montigny each recorded a team-high seven rebounds, while fellow senior
Hannah Richards dished out a game-high seven assists. Lengle also finished with a game-high three blocks.
Husson returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Vermont State University Johnson at 3 p.m.
