BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University volleyball team swept Curry College in straight sets on Sunday at home winning 25-18, 25-19 and 25-23.
Husson (2-4) came out looking to put Sunday's match away early putting down 13 kills in the opening set and limiting Curry (0-5) to just two.
The second set would also be all Eagles as they led from the beginning and opened up a 2-0 set advantage.
In the third set, Curry battled back and pushed Husson to its final points, but two Colonels miscues iced the game for the Eagles and gave them a 3-0 win.
Sophomore
Janna Preskorn impressive for the Eagles recording a game-high 13 kills and just three errors while posting seven digs.
Senior Alex Beal tallied four kills and no errors to go along with three digs and senior
Alyvia McIntyre recorded a game-high 17 assists.
Additionally, sophomore
Alana Peruti finished with four kills and two blocks, while freshman Amanda Morse collected six digs and two service aces.
Husson will now travel to South Hadley, Massachusetts on Saturday for a tri-match against Mount Holyoke College and Framingham State University.
